The Hampshire Companies, a full-service, private real estate investment firm with equity in assets valued at more than $2 billion, has announced the appointment of Sharon Vuskalns as a Director of Accounting and Compliance.

In this role, Vuskalns will be responsible for overall accounting and financial reporting while ensuring compliance with various investment regulations for The Hampshire Companies and its private equity real estate funds. Prior to joining Hampshire, she served as vice president and controller for Chelsea Property Group, a division of Simon Property Group and spent nine years at Ernst & Young LLP where she worked as senior audit manager. A certified public accountant in New Jersey, Ms. Vuskalns earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind. and is an active member of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Ms. Vuskalns resides in Long Valley, N.J. with her husband Victor and two children.
